Calendar: Today, 1 September – Church Service led by Pastor Kevin NO Sunday School or Fellowship Hour Wednesday, 4 September – Confirmation Class – 6:15 PM Saturday, 7 September – Bonnie Dockter Benefit – 3:30 – 9:00 PM Sunday, 8 September – Rally Sunday Church Service led by Pastor Kevin Sunday School Registration – 10:30 AM Tony Nelson Benefit – 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM • We will host a Traveling Taco, Bake Sale, and Silent Auction benefit on 8 September for Tony Nelson at the Tumbleweed from 1130 AM to 3:30 PM. So please, IF YOU CAN, start contacting employers or businesses that you frequent for contribution for the Silent Auction Items. OR bring items into the church and we will put together Silent Auction Baskets for this benefit. We will pass around a signup sheet for items, and workers needed for this benefit. • Member of Peace are also encouraged to attend a Benefit Dinner for Bonnie Dockter on 7 September 2019 at the Tumbleweed from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Bonnie is Bertha Rath’s daughter and Gloria Hanson’s sister. Bonnie lost her battle from Neuroendocrine Cancer and Crohn’s Disease last week. Please consider supporting this effort to help Bonnie’s family with medical bills. • Consider joining us for our Sunday School Rally on Sunday, September 8, 2019, after our church service at 10:30 am at Peace Lutheran Church. We offer Sunday School for children ages 4 through 4th grade of 2019. We also offer Christian Education Classes for 5th and 6th graders taught by Carissa Stafslien. • The first day of Sunday School will be Sunday, September 15, 2019 at about 10:30 a.m. when church finishes. We will meet up at the altar to sing a few songs and then break into our class groups. Sunday School will finish each Sunday at 11:30 a.m. When you register your children, you will receive our Sunday School calendar to be informed when we will be having events or not be meeting for Sunday School. • On Rally Sunday you can register your child for Sunday School and they can play some games! If you are unable to make it on the 8th, you can sign your child up when they come to Sunday School for the first time. • Groundbreaking/Blessing Ceremony – On 15 September 2019, we will have an abbreviated indoor service starting at 9:30 AM and then move outside to the construction site and hold a Groundbreaking/Blessing Service. Please consider attending this historical event. • Faith Story: Our congregation started sharing Our Faith Story program and on Sunday of months with five Sundays we have someone share their Faith Story. It is a time when a member of our congregation shares her/his story of faith and how s/he came to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We are looking for a member to share their Faith Story on 29 September 2019. If you are willing to share yours, please let Pastor Kevin know. • Due to the confined space requirements during the fall/winter/spring of 2019-2020 Sunday School Year, we will not be hosting Fellowship Hour or Adult Sunday School classes on Sunday mornings so that the Sunday School can conduct classes in the Sanctuary area. • SAVE THE DATE: 50th Anniversary Bismarck—Mandan CROPWALK for Hunger WE WALK BECAUSE THEY WALK! Sunday, October 13th. Gather at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 12:30: Registration, hunger awareness activities, music, opening celebration 1:30: walk begins around Tom O Leary path or shorter 1/2-mile route Everyone is invited even if not walking. Come celebrate! Ice cream sundaes served following the walk.

Donations from this Thursday and Friday,29-30 August 2019, will go to fund school lunches for kids who can't afford them at Lincoln Elementary.

Pastor Kevin will be meeting with Confirmation Students and their Parents on Wednesday, August 28 at 6:00 p.m. for an organizational meeting. Confirmation is for 7th and 8th grade students. All are welcome, you don't need to be members of Peace Lutheran Church to have your youth to attend.

If you didn’t see it, we have a Little Free Pantry on the northeast side of the church. This week we noticed it to be a little bare. Our condolences to this family. • Fill the Wagon for “Little Free Pantry”. If you didn’t see it, we have a Little Free Pantry on the northeast side of the church. This week we noticed it to be a little bare. So, we are going to do a collection and keep these items in the storage room and when we see the Pantry a little bare, we are going to place items into the container.
